Since 2008, when Scott Redding won his first Grand Prix (which happened to be the 125cc event at his home race at Donington Park), British riders haven’t fared to well on native soil. James Toseland and Cal Crutchlow have both struggled to live up to high expectations from the home crowd.

But Redding seems to thrive on the added pressure, having won twice at home, including last year’s Moto2 race at Silverstone. With his Union Jack Alpinestars leathers, he’ll be looking to repeat his past success tomorrow. He’ll have a good chance to compete for best Open bike thanks to an 11th place spot on the grid.
