Yamaha rider styles Rossi Lorenzo

As we’d expect, Espargaro and Smith are similar to Espargaro and Rossi but with Smith’s wider line the superimposed image doesn’t show the differences as nicely as it might.

Sliding the rear of Smith’s bike to our left (his right) would line up the shoulders of these two riders and push Smith’s head out in the neighborhood of Rossi’s.

Espargaro Lorenzo CotA 2015With Espargaro superimposed over Lorenzo, we have many similarities, though still a slight difficulty from the positions of the rear wheels. We see more of Espargaro’s rear fender, so their head positions are not as aligned as they look here. Lorenzo leans more off to the side while Espargaro is tucked down tighter to the side of the bike.

compositeThe composite view shows differences in head position nicely. We can really see here how much to the right Rossi’s head is pointed, and of the four riders in this group, Espargaro is looking down the most. A clear visor view of him would be pretty interesting, and I wonder how much of his eyes we’d be able to see. I doubt he’d be looking too far ahead, given the position of his helmet.

Before long we will compare the fastest riders and maybe look at some who aren’t quite as fast.
