Marc Marquez claimed pole for the first time with a 1:47.572 to beat his own Pole Position record (1:47:804 in 2013). After teammate Dani Pedrosa temporarily claimed top spot with his own record lap, 1:47:549, Marquez made sure Pedrosa didn’t hold that record for very long. The reigning world champ returned to the track to post a 1:47:187, reclaiming top spot and beating last season’s record lap by .617.
Our thanks to Dani Pedrosa for making Marc Marquez turn it up to 11 in Aragon QP2.
