It was a rough day at the North West 200 with a three-rider crash that sent two riders and a female spectator to the hospital. The two injured most seriously, Rider Stephen Thompson and spectator Violet McAfee, are both now in stable condition. Horst Saiger was treated at the hospital and released, while Dean Harrison was not injured in spite of being involved in the crash.

Apart from the accident, Alastair Seely claimed two more victories to tie Robert Dunlop’s record of 15 career wins. In the Superstock class, Lee Johnston barely beat Seely, with Ian Hutchinson coming in 3rd. 51-year-old Jeremy McWilliams won the second Supertwins race.
