A close up of the 2012 Honda RC213V’s exhaust. To be honest I don’t recall if this was Casey Stoner’s or Dani Pedrosa’s bike. What caught my eye was the way the artificial lighting at Losail made the colors of the exhaust pipe metal look different from natural light.

Though not as dramatic a difference, it’s a similar situation to how the artificial light changes the way exhaust fire appears, such as in the Blue Fire Open Edition.

Incidentally, have you ever wondered what RC213V means? RC is Honda’s code for a 4-stroke bike. 213 means this is the third bike of those made in the 21st century. V refers to the engine being a V configuration.

I wonder when we’ll see the RC214V.
