Before an afternoon downpour of rain affected FP2, Dani Pedrosa was fastest in FP1 at Sepang Circuit in Malaysia. Pedrosa’s 2’01.379 was within last year’s race lap record.

Pedrosa knows his way around Sepang, having claimed victory here in 2012 and 2013. He also has four more podiums in the premier class.
