Guest Shooter: Diego Mola
The latest PHOTO.GP Guest Shooter is Diego Mola, who writes:
I have been taking photographs since a young age and the first time I attended the Tourist Trophy in 2008, I fell in love with road racing. Bikes that fly past on a street circuit in the hands of a fantastic rider generate an indescribable feeling when you are only a few feet away.
Since my first visit I have been to the Tourist Trophy and North West 200 many more times and have also taken pictures last year at the Ulster Grand Prix, which I intend to return to again. I will attend the next North West 200 and have projects for other races in August.
I use Canon equipment, at the moment a 7D and various lenses from 8mm to 300mm.
Diego is our second Guest Shooter in a row to specialize in road racing (the previous being Stephen Mahon. Though this is a coincidence, perhaps it shows how compelling road racing is as a subject for motor sports photography. Personally I love images such as the one above of the Northwest 200, where the street landscape is part of the image.
Our thanks to Diego for sharing some of his work here on the PHOTO.GP site. You can see more from Diego on his website, and follow him on Twitter, on Instagram and Facebook.
