Suzuki is coming back to MotoGP for the 2015 season and is scheduled to do a wildcard appearance at Valencia, most likely with Suzuki test rider Randy De Puniet.

One of the questions on our minds is the identity of Suzuki’s main sponsor. In its most recent state, Suzuki was sponsored by Rizla, maker of cigarette papers, in a deal rumored to have been the best bargain in motor sports. All sorts of numbers floated around for how much Rizla had paid to make a factory MotoGP team ride around in Rizla’s distinctive blue. The whispered numbers were quite small as far as featured sponsorships go.

Will Suzuki come up with a sponsor with deeper pockets for 2015? You’d be wise to put your money on one brand of energy drink or another, given the way things are going for MotoGP sponsorship. But which one, and how much will Suzuki’s partnership cost? Time will tell.
