Marc Marquez not only led FP1 here at the British Grand Prix, but topped the field by over half a second. He finished .661 in froth of Andrea Iannone, and over a second ahead of his rivals for the race victory. Jorge Lorenzo was a.032 back of Marquez in 7th place.

Tenths or hundredths separate the places two through ten for the session. Dani Pedrosa, last of the top ten in FP1, was 1.130 behind his teammate.
