When someone poses for a photo, it’s not always a photo of the subject’s face you’re after.

Juan Llansa Hernandez is one of Jorge Lorenzo’s mechanics, and he’s also the fellow who manages the pit board when his rider is out on track. At Valencia last year, I was working in pit lane and wandered over to the pit wall to see what I could see. Juan was at work with the pit board, but took a moment to hold still so I could grab this shot of his skin art. Thanks, amigo!
