A special pre-race press conference was held today before the main event in order to address the Moto3 Championship 2014 situation.

Title contenders Alex Marquez and Jack Miller answered questions about their feelings coming into this final race showdown. In spite of several questions from the media intended to stir the on-track conflict we’ve seen in several races this season, both riders refused to take the bait and conducted themselves professionally.

Marquez was particularly so, stating several times that he wished to win the title with fair play, without team orders and without overly aggressive riding by anyone involved.

When asked to shake hands for the post-questions photo, bother riders seemed comfortable hand in hand and neither appeared eager to escape the situation.

One can’t help feeling, however, that on Sunday, things might not be quite so cordial on track.
