Ronny Lekl sends us #6. He included his web site URL, so I had a look and found that I recognize him from several GP rounds over the past years, though I don’t think we’ve ever met. If you take a look you’ll see that Ronny has been photographing MotoGP for quite a while, and there are some really nice images on his web site. Thanks for playing along, Ronny!

Dean White sends us #7. I must say I’m really interested to see two folks going the B&W route. While I often convert portraits to B&W, I hardly every use it for track shots. I will have to give this more thought…

#8 is from Todd Connaughton, the first to go portrait:

Scott is funny you said that about not using Black & White for track shots, I got nominated on facebook for the 5 day B & W challenge and I found myself picking 5 people shots as like you I wouldn’t think to use black and white on my track shots

I’m the same, so far in B+W challenge I have 4 portraits/ faces. I’m struggling to find a track shot that is as good or better in B+W. You frame for colour and background as well as the subject to work in colour. It’s motorsport photography not architecture, colour is part of the attraction to me. That’s not to say I haven’t liked the photo challenge B+W, I have and almost went that way too.
