With the MotoGP 2014 season a wrap, I thought we’d take a look back at some of the faces in pit lane to see how they looked before their 2014 stories unfolded. Look for two more posts in this set of MotoGP portraits.
Above: Colin Edwards announced his retirement in Austin, but ran into some tough love from Forward Racing and didn’t finish his MotoGP career as planned.
I imagine the caption here to be Paolo Ciabatti (Ducati MotoGP Project Director) saying to Claudio Domenicali (Ducati Motor Holding CEO), “You’ll see a Ducati podium this weekend – round 2 at the latest!”
When Andrea Iannone heard this (again, in my imagination), he had his doubts.
But Andrea Dovizioso made good on the (imagined) promise, beginning a remarkable season for a resurgent Ducati MotoGP effort.
