Stefan Bradl had one more season to show he deserved a factory supported Honda RC213V, but the results weren’t there for the German rider.
American Josh Herrin came into the Moto2 class as reigning AMA Superbike champ, but ran into a steep learning curve and some incredibly bad fortune, becoming the second U.S. rider to go home before season’s end.
Dani Pedrosa and long-time Crew Chief Mike Leitner began what would become their final season working together.
Perhaps thinking of how good he’d have to be to beat Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo fell on the first lap of the first race and took half the season to recover.
