Italian rider Danilo Petrucci joined countrymen Dovizioso, Andrea Iannone and Valentino Rossi in the Thursday press conference, and before the questions began, he joked with Dovi and Marc Marquez.

Iannone had his game face on. He also wants to be the Italian rider on the Italian bike who wins the Italian GP.

While many riders did a lap of the track on scooters, Rossi did two while Steve English and I were strolling around the circuit. He wants to be the Italian rider on a Japanese bike who wins the 2015 Italian GP.

On Friday morning, Marquez’ #1 bike had the older swing arm and his #2 bike had the updated version with the extra hole.

Nicky Hayden’s Aspar Hondas have new swing arms. The weld seams look very similar to those on Marquez’ factory bikes.

Eugene Laverty’s Aspar Hondas still have the older version.
