Phillip Island MotoGP – Friday

In addition to some other collections of my Phillip Island MotoGP images, such as those at MotoMatters and Asphalt and Rubber, here are a few I’ve selected just for PHOTO.GP readers.

The Lorenzo Land flag was flying on Friday as his fans hoped for another victory. Lorenzo was fastest on Friday.

Danilo Petrucci prepares for battle, watched over by his Homer Simpson water bottle.

Nicky Hayden’s wrist is feeling pretty good. I shook hands with him last night and by habit approached gently, but he said that wasn’t necessary and return a firm grip. Great news! Notice his Honda has the carbon brake covers to help retain brake disc temperature.

Aleix Espargaro was right behind FP2 leader Lorenzo.

Wayne Gardner watched his son Remy Moto3 FP2 from the roof, where he could see a good portion of the track AND a circuit TV.

How about a little positive thinking here, guys?

Marc Marquez enters pit lane.

Dani Pedrosa is looking for grip as he deals with news of crew chief Mike Leitner’s departure at the end of 2014.

What are Pol Espargaro’s team members trying to tell him when they decide to show him the dog on the pit sign? I will try to find out…
UPDATE: Direct from Tech 3, that dog means that someone is following Pol. Ha!!
