Now that the MotoGP season is tucked safely in for the winter, I’ll be presenting some flashback images from previous seasons in the PHOTO.GP archive. First up is Nicky Hayden in his rookie Ducati season, getting the GP9 around the Sachsenring.

The barcode Marlboro logo shows on the livery. Earlier in the season, the actual Marlboro logo made its final appearance in MotoGP at Losail. The barcode then replaced the actual logo for the remainder of the 2009 season, having emigrated from the Ferrari F1 livery, which had used an evolving version of the barcode since 2007.
