A tough day for Ryuichi Kiyonari, ending at Q1 and putting Kiyo 20th on the grid.

After looking good in practice, John Hopkins could manage only 18th.

Chris Walker, only 17th in Qualifying but I like how his motorbike is looking where he’s going with owl eyes. Those are for Be Wiser Insurance, by the way.

Christian Iddon’s determination was good for merely 16th.

Even though he doesn’t like mushrooms, Lee Jackson is cool for riding a pushbike around the paddock while the other riders are on scooters. The 2012 National Superstock 600 Champion was 13 at the end of Qualifying.

Shakey just missed out on Q3 and will start from 11th.

James Westmoreland, eighth on the grid for Sunday’s races.

Michael Laverty will start from seventh.
