There were several fantastic stories from the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island, but for me the most exciting was Jack Miller winning his home race.

Fighting for the Moto3 Championship against points leader Alex Marquez, Miller let his nerves show in Qualifying, waving his arms around in frustration with the other riders. But when it came down to race time, he was focussed and got the job done.

His performance reminded me once again: Never bet against the local guy.

The Moto3 race heads to Sepang with Miller 20 points behind Marquez. If the Spaniard can leave Sepang with a 26 point lead he will be the 2014 Moto3 Champ.
