Hit The Brakes with Brembo’s Carbon Disc Brake Rotor

When you’re accustomed to looking at Brembo’s MotoGP carbon disc brake rotors, seeing their ALMS product shows just how much more material it takes to slow an ALMS car.
Rather than the solid disc design used in MotoGP, the ALMS version is vented with holes drilled into the carbon fiber to help disparate heat.
The above image is from the 2007 ALMS round at Laguna Seca. Make sure you click on the image image to see the larger version. The layers of carbon fiber are clearly visible, as is the irregularity of the material. The layers are not uniform in thickness, and subtle waves define each layer.
