Danilo Petrucci right hand positionI believe this is part of the dreaded Arm Pump situation, where the rider is managing both throttle and brake lever at the same time.

Danilo Petrucci right hand positionRight knee is coming down as the right elbow’s drop moves the hand askew to the rider’s right side.

Danilo Petrucci right hand positionAt full lean to the right, instead of the fingers adjusting for shoulder position, the right wrist takes the strain.

Danilo Petrucci right hand positionNot quite. THIS is full gas. Notice how low the wrist is relative to the throttle. I don’t know if the rider’s thumb is in this position at 200+ mph. I rather doubt it. But you can see how much throttle movement is required to reach full gas, I suppose to allow the rider more precise adjustments between closed and fully open.
